This Wednesday morning Qigong Flow and Gentle Yoga Class is accessible for people of all ages and ability levels. Modifications will be offered to meet individual needs. Pairing together Qigong and Yoga in a manner that is calmly-paced and designed to improve balance, flexibility and mobility (Total class time 50-60 minutes) Please arrive by 9am
Qigong is a traditional Chinese practice that combines gentle rhythmic movements, , breathing techniques, and focused intention in a manner that cultivates and balances the body's vital life force energy, known as 'qi".

A Qigong flow feels similar to a moving mediation. Slow-flowing standing postures and focused breathing techniques are designed to ease the mind, soothe the nervous system, and restore balance. Qigong promotes smooth circulation along energy pathways called meridians.. Some additional benefits of a qigong practice are as follows: Loosen muscles; Slow respiration; Build bone density; Strengthen nerves; Decrease stress; Increase injury recovery; Improve circulation; Lower blood pressure; Build immune system; Improve posture; attune mind.

After completing the Qigong practice, you will be guided through a couple transitional slow and gentle standing yoga flows. Then the remainder of the practice will take place on the yoga mat. Seated stretches will help to release physical and energetic stagnation. Improvements in range of motion, flexibility and mobility in areas such as legs, hips, shoulders are noticed with a consistent yoga or stretching practice. Tonify body, mind, breath, then integrate.
