Ubuntu - “an authentic individual human being is part of a larger and more significant relational, communal, societal, environmental and spiritual world”Ubuntu + Taylor = UbuntayUbuntay - A vagabond athlete and musician. Ubuntay unlocked his creative ability in the underground rave scene: Gloving, cutting shapes, tutting, and generally just dancing his ass off. As a lifelong student of movement, he devoted a lot of his attention to Ecstatic Dance.Ubuntay’s style is dynamic, and full spectrum: Trap, Bass, House, Techno, DnB, Downtempo, and World Rhythms. He creates a cohesive journey with wide variety of textures, drum patterns, and tempos (BPM).Ubuntay is also self taught producer of electronic music; a late bloomer with no formal education. He has a curious mind, driven by intrinsic motivation, and love for learning, math, and science.
“I believe that there is so much untapped creative potential trapped inside of the human body and mind. Dance is a doorway and a symbol for this freedom. The practice of dancing is as ancient as music and language. The dominator culture has used shame to stifle our creative expression, especially with dance.”

Ecstatic Dance Guidelines
----------------------------------------
Respect the Space:
No shoes, food, drinks, or candles on the dance floor.
Clean up after yourself. Props, cushions, and mats are welcome but must be returned after use.
Bathrooms and water fountain are available for your convenience.
Respect Each Other:
No talking, videos, or phones on the dance floor.
This is a sober space: no drugs or alcohol.
Practice heart-centered, non-verbal consent: make eye contact and wait for a mutual 'yes.'
Hands in prayer communicates a 'no, thank you' or signifies gratitude for a dance just shared.
Respect Yourself:
Wear comfortable attire that allows free movement and expression.
Be mindful of scents; avoid strong perfumes.
Notice judgments of yourself or others, and let them pass.
Hydrate and listen to your body’s needs.
Embrace the Experience:
You are a sovereign being. Engage in the dance in any way your body calls—stillness is also dancing.
While there are attractions outside the dance space, the magic of ecstatic dance is in our shared movement.
Join us for the closing circle to complete the journey together.
This is a sacred space for healing, connection, and expression. Let’s co-create a safe and respectful environment for all.
