Ecstatic Dance | Deep Yin

Ecstatic Dance is a practice of moving meditation, a process of liberation, and an opportunity for raw, authentic expression. If you are new to edance, please read the rules below.

Dance every Thursday 8-10pm

Contact Improv Thursdays 7-8pm

This week, we're starting off with a deep somatic Yin yoga class led by Ramond Smith. We'll be holding deep stretches for 3-5min at a time while using the breath to deepen into the body, engaging holding patterns to intentionally release tension. Yin allows us to move more freely through life physically, emotionally, and spiritually. It is simple, but it is not easy.

For the dance, we're bringing in one of our top edance DJs - Mr Bongos. Mr. Bongos is a yogi, 200hr RYT, and a DJ. He has been performing throughout the Bay area for over 5 years and enjoys spreading his love of yoga and music. He's performed for dozens of edances, yoga classes, and meditation-type of gatherings. His music ranges from chill beats to club and party beats with everything in between. Check him out on Facebook and Instagram for upcoming events.
