KIRTAN WITH RASA: Chant = Bliss!

Rasa, (Catherine Dana Costa) has been a purveyor of words and music for as long as she can remember. A poet, singer, songwriter and improvisational performer, Rasa also plays guitar, percussion, ukulele, Native American flute and is making a valiant effort at learning the hurdy gurdy. She has made regular musical appearances at events and services presented by many spiritually based organizations and festivals in the Tampa Bay Area, most notably Festival Ruah at the Unitarian Universalist Octagon in Clearwater and 5th Sunday Kirtan at Sacred Lands. She is a founding member of Bhaav Kirtan and Sacred Sounds, a St. Pete-based group whose focus is to bring spiritual music of many cultures to a diverse audience. She also performs original folk, world-based and devotional music with musicians from around the globe brought together in her World Music collaborative movement called “The Redtailed Experience”.
